Who is behind mamaLita?

The mamaLita school is being supported by Italian Scotland, as well as by several individual donors, some of whom are companies and their logos are displayed in the sponsor page.


The mamaLita college project is being managed for Italian Scotland by Professor Sergio della Sala, a medical doctor from Edinburgh University’s School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences and with extensive experience in developing countries and difficult areas, such as South Africa and Palestine. He is supported by Ruth Magowan, lecturer in nursing at Queen Margaret University as deputy manager for nursing.

The managing team is supported by the following advisory panel: Professor Anton Muscatelli, Principal at Glasgow University; Mrs. Maureen McGinn, of the Big Lottery Fund; Professor Petra Wend, QMU Principal; Mr. Magnus Llewellin, Editor of The Times Scotland; Mr. Ronnie Convery, Head of Communication at the Archdioceses of Glasgow.
